Meet Dr. Jeremy Ueno

Evidence of the link between oral and systemic disease has been well established and therefore, we believe that it is especially important for you to have regular check-ups and maintain your regular cleanings to diagnose and prevent the progression of gingivitis (gum disease) and periodontitis (disease of the supporting bone). Periodontitis has been linked to stroke, cardiovascular disease, atherosclerosis, diabetes, kidney disease, respiratory disease, osteoporosis, pre-term and low birth weight babies and more systemic links are being discovered annually.

Because of this issue, we are also pleased to be able to offer an in-house periodontist, Dr. Jeremy Ueno, a graduate of the prestigious periodontal program at Columbia University in New York City, to address your periodontal concerns and needs.

He specializes in the treatment of periodontal disease, and performs oral plastic surgery for gummy smiles, receding gums and the replacement of missing teeth with dental implants.

Technology

Here at our practice, we are proud to use the latest technologies to give our patients the best experience and most dramatic results possible. When you come to our practice, you can be sure that you are getting the most advanced care with the latest technology. Our technology includes:

Digital X-Rays

Here at our office, your comfort and safety is our first concern. That is why we utilize digital x-ray technology to help you maintain your healthy, beautiful smile. To take digital x-rays, a tiny camera is inserted into your mouth, and the x-rays are immediately transmitted onto a computer screen. This allows you to see any problems for yourself and decide which treatment option is best for you.

Digital X-rays offer many advantages. Although the risk of radiation damage from normal X-rays is small, digital X-rays limit exposure by 90 percent, enhancing your safety significantly. If you'd like to learn more about digital x-rays, please contact us today!

Microabrasion

If you have discolored or chalky spots on your teeth, microabrasion may be perfect for you. These kinds of discolorations can be the result of numerous things, including infection, childhood illnesses, severe blows made to baby teeth, and excessive ingestion of fluoride.

Microabrasion is used to eliminate stains, blotches, or discolorations on the teeth. During microabrasion, a special compound is rubbed on the teeth to gently and effectively remove shallow stains and discoloration. While there are no guarantees, in most cases discolored teeth can be improved.

If you would like to learn more about microabrasion, please contact Dr. Hamamoto today.
